2021年7月船舶拍卖市场评述
7月,受需求、天气、运力三大利好因素共振,沿海运输市场运价环比有所提升。当前电厂普遍处于红线水平,国家储备煤逐步流入市场,港口煤炭库存有所上升,下游煤炭需求旺盛,但由于煤炭价格连续冲高,截至7月30日,已达1035元/吨,导致采购商观望情绪进一步上升,沿海运价先涨后稳。国际干散货市场依旧向好,创下十年来的最好纪录,并明显强于国内运输,吸引不少兼营船向外发展,导致沿海有效运力减少。总体来看,中国船舶拍卖市场累计拍卖74艘次,成交34艘次,成交率47.9%,起拍价累计约37776万人民币,成交额累计20598万人民币,成交额环比仍有较大增长。
一、国内沿海运输市场观望情绪较浓,船东买船热情有所下降
下游需求扩张,国内煤炭供给不足,市场运价虽处于较高水平,但运力仍然局部过剩,船东观望情绪较浓。根据拍船网(www.shipbid.net)统计数据,7月,中国船舶拍卖市场累计拍卖74艘次,环比减少2艘次,同比减少6艘次。其中,干散货类船舶拍卖21艘次,环比减少3艘次,液货类船舶拍卖8艘次,环比增加3艘次。成交率方面,本月累计成交34艘次,环比减少9艘次,成交率为47.9%,成交率环比有所下滑。
拍卖成交金额环比小幅上扬。7月,中国船舶拍卖市场起拍价累计37776万人民币,环比增加3898万人民币,同比减少18819万人民币;成交额累计20598万人民币,环比增加4141万人民币,同比减少29270万人民币。

二、煤炭供给端不足,沿海运输市场涨幅有限
南方各地入伏,高温影响下居民用电需求旺盛,煤炭消费需求继续冲高,但煤炭供给有限,煤炭价格冲高,沿海运价有所上涨,实际运输量有限。铁矿石方面,高炉开工率有所下降,沿海运价小幅下跌;粮食方面,粮食价格小幅下跌,粮食运价后期回升。国际运输市场继续呈现良好走势,巴西铁矿石发运量有所增加,大型国际干散货船运价高位波动。液货运输市场方面,市场需求较为稳定,运价处于相对较好区间,船东多以运营为主。
司法拍卖方面,本月拍卖船舶55艘次,成交22艘次,起拍价总额27814万元,成交总额11885万元;商业拍卖方面,本月拍卖船舶19艘次,成交12艘次,起拍价总额9961万元,成交总额8713万元。本月拍卖大吨位船舶不多,拍卖成交额延续上月走势,环比差距不大。
重点船舶拍卖情况,干散货船舶方面,“天台12”16286吨散货船以3202万人民币成交,“盛嘉禾2”34365吨散货船以7216万人民币成交,“众茂3”3742吨散货船以573万人民币成交。油运船舶方面,“gs spring”国际油船以3124万人民币成交。其他船型方面,本月有较多工程船和渔业用船成交,均成交8艘次,成交额分别为2032万人民币和1521万人民币,客滚类船舶本月仅成交1艘次。

monthly analysis of ship auction market in china
july 2021
in july, driven by the factor of demand, weather and capacity, the freight rate in the coastal transportation market increased month-on-month. recently, for the coal inventory in power plants is generally at the red line, national coal reserve has gradually entered the market and the coal inventory of port increases. downstream coal demand is strong, but due to the continuous rising of price, as of july 30, it has reached 1,035 yuan/ton, leading to buyers’ strong wait-and-see sentiment, with freight rates risen first then stabilized. the international dry bulk transportation market is still positive, reaching the best record in ten years, and is significantly stronger than domestic, which attracts many domestic ships, resulting in a decrease in coastal transportation capacity. there are 74 ships auctioned in july and 34 are sold with the transaction rate of 47.9%. the total starting price is about ¥377.76m, while the total transaction price is ¥205.98m, increasing significantly.
strong wait-and-see sentiment of the coastal transportation market has declined the shipowners' enthusiasm for buying ships.
the downstream demand is expanding which makes domestic coal supply insufficient, and the freight rate is at a relatively high level, but with partially capacity surplus, the shipowners still have a strong wait-and-see sentiment. according to data from www.shipbid.net, the total ship auctions of july are 74, which decrease 2 mom and 6 yoy. among them, the bulk carriers are 21, which decrease 3 mom. the chemical & tankers are 8, which increase 3 mom. in terms of transaction, there are 34 ships sold, which decrease 9 mom, with transaction rate of 47.9%, slightly decrease from last month.
in july, the price of ship auction slightly increases from last month. the total starting price is approximately ¥377.76m, which increases ¥38.98m mom but decreases ¥188.19m yoy. the total transaction price is ¥205.98m, which increases ¥41.41m mom but decreases ¥292.70m yoy.

insufficient coal supply leads to limited growth in the coastal transportation market.
southern area of china are in dog days of summer, with high temperature, residential electricity demand is strong, and coal consumption continues to rise. however, short supply of coal leads to high price which makes coastal freight rates risen while transportation volume limited. in terms of iron ore, the operating rate of blast furnaces has declined, and the freight rates has dropped slightly; in terms of grain, the price of grain has fallen slightly, and the freight rate of it has recovered later. the international transportation market continues to show a good trend with increasing shipment volume of iron ore in brazil which makes the freight rate of capesize fluctuate at a high level. in the liquid cargo transportation market, the demand is relatively stable and so as the freight rate, and the shipowners are operating normally.
in terms of judicial auction, there are 55 ships auctioned in july, of which 22 are sold. the total starting price is ¥278.14m, and the total transaction price is ¥118.85m. in terms of commercial auctions, there are 19 ships auctioned, of which 12 are sold. the total starting price is ¥99.61m, the total transaction price is ¥87.13m. there are not many large-tonnage ships auctioned in july, and the transaction price has small difference as previous month.
followed are some specific auctions. in terms of bulk carrier, the 16,286dwt bulk carrier “tiantai 12” is sold at ¥32.02m. the 34,365dwt bulk carrier “shengjiahe 2” is sold at ¥72.16m. the 3,742dwt bulk carrier “zhongmao 3” is sold at ¥5.73m. in terms of tanker, the tanker "gs spring" is sold at ¥31.24m. in terms of other ships, there are 8 engineering ships sold with the price of ¥20.32m, 8 fishery ships sold with the price of ¥15.21m and only 1 ro-ro passenger ship sold.
