2021年5月船舶拍卖市场评述
5月,受季节性需求影响,大宗散货价格普遍看涨。煤炭供应整体偏紧,电厂当前库存普遍未达到安全线水平,为稳定煤炭价格,部分地区出台政策,落实旺季来临前保持最低库存状态,但下游需求依旧旺盛,优质煤供不应求,贸易商惜售,煤价高位运行。运输市场方面,煤炭、铁矿石供应紧张,船舶运力偏紧,船东信心较足,运价仍保持在较高水平。本月船舶拍卖量较上月有所增加,虽然起拍价不及上月,但成交额保持增长。总体来看,中国船舶拍卖市场累计拍卖60艘次,成交38艘次,成交率63.3%,起拍价累计约44701万人民币,成交额累计40021万人民币,拍卖艘次和成交额均保持增长。
一、市场走势尚不明朗,沿海运价高位波动
本月运输市场行情先扬后抑,但运价仍高位波动,二手干散货船热度依旧。根据拍船网(www.shipbid.net)统计数据,5月,中国船舶拍卖市场累计拍卖60艘次,环比增加12艘次,同比增加19艘次。其中,干散货类船舶拍卖11艘次,环比减少1艘次,液货类船舶拍卖8艘次,环比增加3艘次。成交率方面,本月累计成交38艘次,环比增加9艘次,成交率为63.3%,成交率环比有所上升。
拍卖成交金额继续小幅增长。5月,中国船舶拍卖市场起拍价累计约44701万人民币,环比减少22506万人民币,同比增加7844万人民币;成交额累计40021万人民币,环比增加3676万人民币,同比增加27288万人民币。

二、煤价平衡点高于往年同期,干散货市场热度依旧偏高
由于国内煤炭价格持续快速上涨,引起国家有关部门的高度重视。国务院常务会议上罕见地连续两次提到,要积极应对煤炭等大宗商品价格过快上涨带来的不利影响,会议更是提出加强双向调控、加强市场监管、合理引导市场预期等具体措施。煤炭、铁矿石、钢材等大宗散货价格大幅调整,但总体价格仍高于去年同期。下阶段,下游需求较大,未来一段时间内大宗散货价格仍有较强支撑。
司法拍卖方面,本月拍卖船舶34艘次,成23艘次,起拍价总额8913万元,成交总额7778万元;商业拍卖方面,本月拍卖船舶26艘次,成交15艘次,起拍价总额35787万元,成交总额32242万元。本月司法拍卖船舶吨位总体偏小,商业拍卖成交额仍保持小幅增长。
重点船舶拍卖情况,干散货船舶方面,“华融2”5.64万吨散货船以12000万人民币成交,“tiger shandong”18万吨散货船以2331万美元成交,“新一海7”5095吨散货船以1106万人民币成交。油运船舶方面,“神州3551”和“神州3552”内河液货船分别以2512万人民币和2369万人民币成交。其他船型方面,工程船船舶本月成交较少,仅成交1艘挖泥船,渔业用船本月成交5艘次。

may 2021
in may, affected by seasonal demand, commodity prices are generally bullish. the overall supply of coal is tight, while the current inventory of power plants fails to reach the safe level. in order to stabilize coal prices, some regions have introduced policies to maintain a minimum inventory of coal before the peak season. however, downstream demand is still strong, and the demand of high-quality coal exceeds supply which makes the traders reluctant to sell and the coal price high. in the transportation market, the tight supply of coal and iron ore, coupled with shortage of tonnage, shipowners feel confident that the freight rate would remain high. there are more ship auction projects in may than last month, with a total of 60 auctions and 38 transactions, with a transaction rate of 63.3%. the total starting price was about ¥447.01m, while the total transaction price was ¥400.21m, both increasing in numbers and transaction price.
the market trend is still uncertain, while the costal freight rates fluctuate at a high level.
domestic trade market begins to drop after days of increasing, however the freight rates fluctuating at high level, and the bulk carriers are still popular in second-hand exchange market. according to data from www.shipbid.net1, the total ship auctions of may are 60, which increase 12 mom and 19 yoy. among them, the bulk carrier auctions are 11, which decrease 1 mom. the chemical & tanker auctions are 8, which increase 3 mom. in terms of transaction, there are 38 ships sold, which increase 9 mom, with transaction rate of 63.3%, slight increasing from last month.
in may, the price of ship auction continues to rise. the total starting price is approximately ¥447.01m, which decreases ¥225.06m mom but increases ¥78.44m yoy. the total transaction price is ¥400.21m, which increases ¥36.76m mom and ¥272.88m yoy.

the balance point of coal price is higher than the same period in previous years, and the dry bulk market remains hot.
the continuous and sharply rise of domestic coal prices has been concerned by relevant state departments. the state council’s executive meeting mentions twice in a row that it is necessary to take action to the excessively rapid rise in the prices of commodities such as coal. the meeting has proposed specific measures such as two-way regulation, market supervision and guidance of market expectations. the price of bulk commodities such as coal, iron ore and steel has adjusted substantially, but the overall prices are still higher than last year. in the following days, the downstream demand remains strong, the commodity prices still have a strong support.
in terms of judicial auction, there are 34 ships auctioned in may, of which 23 are sold. the total starting price is ¥89.13m, and the total transaction price is ¥77.78m. in terms of commercial auctions, there are 26 ships auctioned, of which 15 are sold. the total starting price is ¥357.87m, the total transaction price is ¥322.42m. the ship tonnage of judicial auction is generally small in may, while the transaction price of commercial auction continues to increase slightly.
followed are some specific auctions. in terms of bulk carrier, the 56,400dwt bulk carrier “huarong 2” is sold at ¥120.00m. the 180,000dwt bulk carrier “tiger shandong” is sold at $23.31m. the 5,095dwt bulk carrier “xinyihai 7” is sold at ¥11.06m. in terms of tanker, the inland tanker "shenzhou 3551" is sold at ¥25.12m and "shenzhou 3552"is sold at ¥23.69m. in terms of other ships,there is only 1 dredger and 5 fishery ships sold.
