2021年2月船舶拍卖市场评述
2月,正值农历传统春节,春节长假期间,各大工厂停工,工业用电降至年内低点,同时民用电表现也较为疲软,多数电厂低负荷运行,由于运输需求下滑,运价较年前有较大幅度回调。2月末,沿海运输市场恢复节奏加快,电厂补库需求增加,加上国际运输热潮来袭,部分内外贸兼营船舶流入海外市场,沿海运价步入上行通道。本月上半月春节长假期间拍卖项目较少,下半月有所增加,总体来看,中国船舶拍卖市场累计拍卖50艘次,成交28艘次,成交率56%,起拍价累计约17071万人民币,成交额累计9690万人民币,船舶拍卖市场总量环比小幅下滑,但同比增幅较大。
一、沿海运价开始回升,年后船舶拍卖市场稳中有升
受春节长假影响,沿海运输市场热度先降后升,运价经历小幅下跌后企稳回升。根据拍船网(www.shipbid.net)统计数据,2月,中国船舶拍卖市场累计拍卖50艘次,环比减少2艘次,同比增加22艘次。其中,干散货类船舶拍卖11艘次,环比减少4艘次,液货类船舶拍卖5艘次,环比增加1艘次。成交率方面,本月累计成交28艘次,环比增加9艘次,成交率为56%,成交率环比有所上升。
拍卖成交金额环比有所下降,但同比有较大增长。2月,中国船舶拍卖市场起拍价累计约17071万人民币,环比减少5876万人民币,同比减少1073万人民币;成交额累计9690万人民币,环比减少3887万人民币,同比增加6278万人民币。

二、干散货运输市场先抑后扬,液货运输市场企稳
春节期间,工业运输需求明显减弱,干散货运输市场经历一波下跌后,在2月底开始逐步回升,液货运输市场受春节长假出行需求上升影响,总体表现企稳。国际国内航线运价上涨,船东信心增加,干散货船舶需求依旧偏高。
司法拍卖方面,本月拍卖船舶33艘次,成交20艘次,起拍价总额4628万元,成交总额2989万元;商业拍卖方面,本月拍卖船舶17艘次,成交8艘次,起拍价总额12442万元,成交总额6701万元。本月司法拍卖项目环比明显减少,商业拍卖方面,虽然拍卖艘次不及司法拍卖,但成交额环比、同比均大幅增长。
重点船舶拍卖情况,干散货船舶方面,“zhongyu 89”5.5万吨国际散货船以698万美元成交。油运船舶方面,本月油运船舶成交较少,多为小型油船成交。其他船型方面,工程类船舶热度依旧较高,本月成交11艘次,多为采砂船以及挖泥船,渔业用船成交5艘次,客滚类船舶成交3艘次。

monthly analysis of ship auction market in china
february 2021
during the long holiday of the traditional chinese new year in february, lots of major factories close, and industrial power consumption fall to the lowest point of the year. at the same time, the residential electricity is relatively weak and most of the power plants operate under low load. due to the decline in transport demand, the freight rate has dropped significantly compared with the time before the holiday. at the end of february, the recovery speedof the coastal transportation market accelerates, and the demand for replenishment of power plants increases. meanwhile, with the demand ofinternational transportation booming, some ships operating both domestic and foreign trade turn into the overseas market, the freight rate of coastal market is now in an upward channel. in the first half of february, we can see fewer auction objects because of theholiday,but there is an increase in the rest time. overall, the ship auction market in china has seen a total of 50 auctions and 28 transactions, with a transaction rate of 56%. the total starting price was about ¥170.71m, while the total transaction price was ¥96.90m. the total of the ship auction market declines slightly from the previous month, but increases relatively year-on-year .
the coastal freight rate begins to rise, meanwhile the ship auction market rises steadily after the holiday.
affected by the holiday, after a slight drop, the heat of the coastal transport market is now in the upward channel, so as the freight rates. according to data from www.shipbid.net1, the total ship auctions of february are 50, which decrease 2 mom but increase 22 yoy. among them, the bulk carrier auctions are 11, which decrease 4 mom. the chemical & tanker auctions are 5, which increase 1 mom. in terms of transaction, there are 28 ships traded, which increase 9 mom, with transaction rate of 56%, increasing slightly mom.
in february, the price of ship auction has slightly decreased from last month, but rose significantly yoy. the total starting price is approximately ¥170.71m, which decreases ¥58.76m mom and ¥10.73m yoy. the total transaction price is ¥96.90m, which decreases ¥38.87m mom but increases ¥62.78m yoy.

bulk cargo transportation market has been pessimistic for some time and then boost, while liquid cargo transportation market stabilized.
during the holiday, the demand for industrial transportation has significantly weakened. after a transient decline, the bulk transportation market begins to gradually rebound at the end of february. the liquid cargotransportation market is driven by the travel demand during the holiday. the performance ofoverall market maintains stabilized. freight rates on foreign and domestic routes have risen which lights up the shipowners’ confidence , and demand for bulk carriers remains high.
in terms of judicial auction, there are 33 ships auctioned in february, of which 20 ships are sold. the totalstarting price is ¥46.28m, and the total transaction price is ¥29.89m. in terms of commercial auctions, there are 17 ships auctioned, of which 8 ships are sold. the total starting price is ¥124.42m, the total transaction price is ¥67.01m. judicial auctions have decreased significantly this month. as for commercial auctions, although the number of it is lower than that of judicial auctions, the transaction price has increased both mom and yoy.
followed are some specific auctions. in terms of bulk carriers, the 55,000 dwt foreign registered bulk carrier “zhongyu 89” is sold at $6.98m. in terms of tankers, there are few transactions of tankers, mostly small tankers. in terms of other ships, engineering ships are still very popular. there are 11 engineering ships sold, mostly sand dredger and generaldredgers. besides, there are 5 fishery ships and 3 ro-ro passenger ships sold.
